'The Wonderful Fluorescent Massive World of Tiny Invisible Things' (2024) is a series of four documentary style animated short films. Each film follows a scientist conducting ground breaking research at the UTS Science Faculty, personified as unicellular organisms, travelling through their microscopic worlds.
I co-directed two films in the series alongside Aki Clayton, 'Hearts' and 'Coral'.
'Hearts' follows Dr Carmine Gentile as a stem cell, as he describes his work in mending broken hearts.
My role on 'Hearts' included storyboarding, character design, 2D rigging and animating, and 2D/3D hybrid compositing.
'Coral' follows Dr Anya Salih as a bioluminescent protein found in coral, as she describes how this is harnessed to map the inside of disease causing cells.
My role on 'Coral' included 2D rigging and animating, and 2D/3D hybrid compositing.
The Wonder Project was showcased as a part of VIVID 2024
